The Vision Original Re-issue deck is a skateboard deck that was originally released in the 1980s by Vision Skateboards and has since been reissued. The deck is designed to replicate the original shape, graphics, and construction of the original Vision deck that was popular in the early days of skateboarding. The deck features an old school skateboard shape with a pointed nose and a squared tail. It is made from 7-ply Canadian maple and has a steep concave. The graphics on the deck feature the iconic optical illusion Vision logo.
Vision classic Re-Issue made to the exact specifications of the original design and it's still being made by the same company that made them! It's hard to go wrong when the original company is the still making the board from the 80's!
Started in 1976 by Brad Dorfman, the Vision sponsored early skateboarding greats such as Mark 'Gator' Rogowski, and Mark Gonzales. In 1984 Vision sports released their first pro model skateboard for skater Mark 'Gator' Rogowski designed by Greg Evans. This was followed by a release of a pro model deck for skater Mark Gonzales (1985) and the iconic "Psycho Stick" (1986), both designed by Los Angeles-based artist Andy Takakjian. The Vision Psycho Stick skateboard is featured on the 1987 INXS album Kick.
The reissue of the Vision Original deck is a tribute to the company's legacy and the impact it had on the skateboarding community. The deck has been updated with modern technology and construction techniques to ensure that it meets the demands of today's skaters while still maintaining the classic look and feel of the original deck.
The Vision Original Re-issue deck is a highly collectible item for skateboard enthusiasts.
