No matter how big or small the downhill skate scene is, outlaw races are the lifeblood of the community. They’re a fundamental piece of the growth process of many up and coming skaters. It’s unlikely that the first race you ever compete in is ever going to be a legal, professionally organised, $300 entry fee IDF race. Small outlaw races are where many of the world’s best riders cut their teeth and are more importantly the best place to push yourself and learn off others. Cudos to those who organise these events and shoutout to Jack Mulholland for organising Pak-Natz for the second year.

Only this year it’s not one event it’s five. A series of races, one every month for the next five months out at a closed off estate in Pakenham, Victoria. The race was such a rad gathering last year and this year with more events and more riders(especially interstate) it’s guaranteed to be a fun time whether you’re racing yourself or just watching some dudes go fast.
