The all-day technical touring pack with back-panel access.
The Jones Higher 32L Backpack is the biggest pack in Jones' backcountry range, built for long tours and technical objectives. It has room for rope, crampons and extra layers on bigger days.
Jones builds the Higher from recycled, PVC-free 600D ripstop polyester with a recycled ballistic nylon base. A zipped back panel gets you into the main compartment even with your board strapped on, a front avy tools pocket keeps your shovel and probe ready, and adjustable straps carry your board vertically or your skis on the side. There's a hydration sleeve and a flip-down bottle holder too.

About Jones
Jones Snowboards was founded in 2009 by big mountain legend Jeremy Jones, the rider behind the Deeper, Further and Higher film trilogy and the founder of Protect Our Winters. The brand is based in Truckee, California, near Lake Tahoe, and was built from day one around freeriding, splitboarding and getting into the backcountry under your own steam.
Today Jones is known for directional freeride boards, splitboards and technical touring gear designed with riders who spend their winters in the mountains. FAQs
Will the Jones Higher 32L carry my snowboard?
Yes. Adjustable straps carry your board vertically on the front, or skis on the side. The zipped back panel means you can still get into the main compartment without unstrapping your board.
Is the Higher 32L avalanche-tool ready?
Yes. A dedicated front pocket holds your shovel and probe, separate from your layers and food. Always carry a transceiver, shovel and probe in avalanche terrain, and get avalanche training before you head out.
Does it fit a hydration bladder?
Yes. There's an internal water bladder sleeve, plus a flip-down bottle holder on the outside. No bladder is included.
Is 32L too big for sidecountry laps?
It can be more than you need. The Higher shines on long tours where you carry rope, radio, crampons and extra layers. For short laps, the Deeper 19L or Further 25L keeps things lighter.
How do I clean it?
Empty the pack, brush off dirt and spot clean with mild soap and cold water. Rinse and hang it to air dry out of direct sun before storing. Avoid harsh detergents, which can strip the DWR finish on the base.

What size Jones board do I need?
Start with your weight and boot size, then think about where you ride. Our Jones size charts cover the range, and we're happy to size you up in store or over the phone.
What is 3D Contour Base?
It's the spoon shaped bevel Jones builds into the nose and tail. The edges lift away from the snow there, so the board glides, turns and floats more easily.
Do Jones FASE bindings need special boots?
No. Jones says FASE works with any snowboard boot. If you're not sure about your board, ask us and we'll check before you buy.
Can I drop off my old board for Re-Up?
Yes. We're a Jones Re-Up drop-off point. Any brand is fine, as long as the board is in one piece with a wood core. Splitboards aren't accepted yet.
Can I pick up in store or return it?
Yes, you can pick up from our Richmond showroom. For returns and exchanges, everything you need is in our returns policy.
