Spitfire F4 Wheels Conical | 101D/54mm
A hard, fast 54mm Conical for smooth parks and slick street spots.
This 54mm Conical runs Spitfire's hardest Formula Four duro. It's a strong all-round size for skaters who mostly ride smooth parks or polished street spots and want the wheel to feel fast and slide easily.
The Conical shape keeps a full riding surface while the sidewalls are cut in to save weight, so you get grip and stability in a light wheel. Formula Four resists flat spots and wears evenly, and 101D lets it break loose for slides with very little effort.
Key Features
- Conical shape: full riding surface with sidewalls cut in for less weight and quick response
- Formula Four urethane: Spitfire's performance formula for flat-spot resistance and an anti-stick slide
- 101D hardness: Spitfire's hardest duro for maximum speed and slide on smooth ground
- 54mm diameter: all-round size for park and street
- Set of four: enough for one board

About Spitfire
Spitfire Wheels started in San Francisco in 1987 and is still based there today, distributed through Deluxe alongside some of the city's best-known skate brands. The flame logo has been on the bottom of street, park and bowl setups ever since.
Today Spitfire is best known for Formula Four, its performance urethane built to resist flat spots, hold its shape and slide smoothly without sticking. It comes in a wide spread of shapes and hardnesses, from soft 80HD cruisers to hard 101D park wheels, so you can match the wheel to how and where you skate. Riders choose Spitfire because the wheels are consistent from set to set and simply last.
FAQs
What are the Spitfire F4 Conical 101D 54mm wheels best for?
Smooth skateparks and slick street spots. The 101D duro is fast and slides easily, and the Conical shape keeps grip. The Conical keeps a full riding surface but cuts the sidewalls in, so you get grip and stability without the extra weight. It's quick to respond and still slides when you want it to.
What does 101D mean?
Spitfire rates hardness on its own Duro scale, written D or DU, and doesn't publish a conversion. Retailers generally list it on the A scale, so 101D is usually listed as 101A, a step harder than 99D. It's the hardest duro on Spitfire's Formula Four size chart, so it's the fastest on smooth parks and slides the easiest, but it passes more vibration through on rough ground.
What size wheel should I get, and do I need risers?
54mm is the all-rounder size. It's big enough to hold speed in the park and roll over rougher ground, but still light for street. Most standard trucks run 54mm wheels without risers.
Do they come with bearings?
No. They come as a set of four wheels without bearings. Any standard 608 skate bearing fits, so you'll need a set of eight bearings, and spacers if your bearings don't have them built in.

Why Buy from Twelve Board Store
Twelve Board Store has been riders selling to riders since 2013. We are not a generic retail chain — we are a specialist board sports retailer built around genuine product knowledge, real rider experience and the kind of after-sales support that only comes from a team that actually uses the gear they sell.
Every brand we stock, we ride. Every recommendation we make comes from real experience — on the mountain, in the park, on the street, and on the road. When you call us, you talk to someone who has been on a snowboard at Hotham last weekend or a skateboard in the carpark this morning. That is the difference between buying from Twelve and buying from a warehouse with a website.
We offer services that no online-only retailer can match. Our in-store workshop handles snowboard waxing and tuning, boot heat moulding, electric skateboard and e-bike repairs and assembly, and warranty support handled in-house rather than shipped offshore to a call centre. If something goes wrong with your gear, we fix it. If your boots don't fit, we sort it. If you ordered the wrong size, we swap it — no questions asked.
Our showroom at 435A Bridge Road Richmond stocks the full range across snowboards, bindings, boots, skateboards, longboards, electric skateboards, e-bikes, outerwear and accessories. We offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $89, AfterPay and Zip for flexible payment, and fast dispatch so your gear arrives when you need it.
Over a decade in business. More than 1,000 reviews. The most trusted specialist board store in Melbourne. If you need advice before you buy, call us on 03 9421 2293, visit us in-store, or contact us online — we'll get you sorted.
